Bilstein 24-238762 front shocks - Std and +50mm height

I think the front shocks are getting a bit worn. Still Toyota OEM.
I want a 2" lift but can't afford all the parts at once.
I thought if I got the Billy 24-238762 front shocks I could use them for Std height and 50mm later. According to their web site it's the same part.

Is this an unreasonable thought?

Another thing to consider might be to buy raised rear springs at the same time, and run the factory front spring on the top circlip on the front (my guess is this would offer a 35-38 mm lift depending on the distance of the spring seat grooves; im not familiar with exactly what they are on the 24-23876). Alternatively ask for a new groove that will give you a 50 mm lift. I think the factory spring will be fine; see Marks comments here:

Run the rear raised spring with the factory rear shock; at 575 mm long its only 5 mm shorter than the Bilstein A713 that many people run with a 50 mm lift (im not suggesting the latter is a good thing to do BTW).

Not a bad idea. Any other comments about this idea from fellow PP's?
I would think the rake would be quite high though with Medium duty rear springs (that's what I want).
