The time has come to lift my Prado a couple of inches - or 50mm in today's currency - front and back. The car gets pretty well loaded on camping trips, but also acts as my daily city/road driver. I have an ARB deluxe bar up front with a winch going in fairly soon, so the front will need a fair bit of propping up to cope with the extra weight.
While I have been ploughing though umpteen posts and threads in this section I'd like a fresh and more up to date take on this. I live in Victoria, so they'll be used in some pretty diverse conditions from rutted mountain tracks to sand to corrugations. Just like most of us, I guess...
If you're kind enough to reply to this, please state which spring and shocks you're using - and also let me know why you like (or dislike) them. Please don't just say, "I use Brand X and they rock...". Any good fitter recommendations also welcome.
I have been doing a bit of homework on this, but would like to hear more opinions before whipping my wallet out.
