  • c59-329 vs c59-327

    Hi guys.
I'm thinking to get 2007 V6 and it has already installed lift kits with c59-302 at the front and c59-329 at the back.
    Front lift shows 800mm, rear - 850mm.
Currently there are no any accessories and, to me, the vehicle runs ok, no body roll but it's pretty hard on uneven road. It feels like driving a sport car.

I usually drive my car around town with 10-20kg at the back and put around 80kg once a month when going camping.
No towing, no hardcore 4WD, mostly driving on gravel roads in National Parks and beach driving.

I'm planning to install alloy bullbar, so, reading this forum I'd say leaving c59-302 should be OK?

I'd like to have softer ride and to drop rear lift to 810-820mm.

Thinking to swap c59-329 with c59-327.
Can I achieve the above height?
Any chance it'll sag when loaded lower than 810-800mm?

My current 90 series has better ground clearance so looks like getting 120 lifted is a necessity..

    Thank you.

I swap between the 325 with airbags and the 327 without for very heavily laden outback trips . Both are good and ride similarly. The 327 are heavier and carry heavier loads. If you are not going to be loaded to the max I would go for the 325. Both would ride better than the super heavy 329

thanks pug. Any idea what the rear lift would be using 325 or 327? Currently it's 850 mm and I'd like to go down a little bit..
upd. actually, as I can see, 325 are 10mm taller than 327..

325 gives 2" lift for a standard Prado.

yeah, 2" lift but the actual raise could be different...

found these in the "Measurements" thread so looks like going from 329 to 327 will be only 10 mm lower

accessories were not mentioned but probably there are a lot at the front because it's not that high

Both the 325 and 327 will give you a legal lift . The ones you have are way too high. Don't go on the unladen length of the springs. My 325 and 327 are the same length sitting on the garage floor but the 325 compress more under load.

As posted the springs are the same free length but have different spring rates, that is the amount of load required to compress one inch is greater for the 327 spring than the 325 spring.
I run 325 spring with airbags as it rides well when unladen and I use the air bags for most trips when more heavily loaded.

dunno.. looks like standard yellow shocks.. my understanding is if they were used with 329, so 325/327 should be also fine?
