I am currently in the UK running the Grandtrek factory fitted tyres on my Prado 4ltr Grande, imported from QLD.
With this regard, I am looking at replacing these with a new set and like the tread on the BF Goodrich All Terrain T/A tyres. I think the increased tread pattern will be better for off road and for snow conditions here in the UK, until I export the Prado back to Oz.
I have a few issues and hope the more knowledgable members can assist.
My current tyres are 265/65 R17 112S rated.
From my research I am unsure if the BF are available in this size and have only seen them in 265/70 R17 and 285/70 R17.
I am looking at bringing my Prado back to Oz possibly to WA and would appreciate if anyone can advise if the upgrades to 265/70 or possibly 285/70 would be legal in QLD or WA.
Would also appreciate if anyone can advise on the consequences of the various upgrade tyres on the vehicle. I have noted some members reporting change in speedo calibration.
Any help or guidance greatly appreciated.
Cheers
