The Grandtreks aren't a bad tyre, I took the ones on my first Prado up the Oodnadata track and throught the Red Centre, to the Grampians, the Flinders and plenty of other places. Only one flat in all that time and that was with over 50k on them in the Flinders.

I've got the Cooper's fitted to mine, and during the safety check; the mechanic made the comment that he thought I had a busted bearing somewhere - but he said the noise was the Cooper tyres. He suggested to get anything other than Coopers, but I don't know what he was going on about; as I couldn't find anything wrong with them. I'm sure they will do the job just fine.Black 2008 KDJ120R GXL D-4D 3.0L TD 5sp Auto.

On a budget for highway based tyres, I'd look for something like these locally:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-265-6...item43b2693583
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/4-X-265-6...item35bea0cf9c
If they're significantly cheaper than local suppliers, it costs $180 to ship 4 to WA."Sure it’s quiet, for a diesel, but that’s like being well-behaved… for a murderer."- Jeremy Clarkson
