You know why mate because some really stupid people (not mentioning names) put video's on you tube, the media get a hold of it and places get locked up.. I know the guy that was the cause of appin getting locked up from a vid he called wombat holes at appin.

Mate we are having less n less to drive without giving them ammo and reasons to lock it up.

It's local to where I lived ant thats the most common place to go.

I know I know it was a long time ago, but it doesn't excuse the fact it was wrong and you should be careful of the consequences of your actions.

Ahrr the Mog, probabaly one of the best 4wds you could ever buy. Very expensive new but here in Aus, ( about $240K ish) but can be picked up from auctions occasionally, ex army, or imported from UK.
8 Speed, Fornt & rear diff locks, extra low range, portal axles, over 800NM torque, nearly half a metre of ground clearance standard , more with the larger optional tyres (455/70/R24)) , PTO winch, Can carry almost 8 tonnes.
Put a rear camper cab on it and to the cape you go!

Older customised one compared to a normal lifted FJ with big tyres!

      Aus army ones

      • Come one "legalities" do not define what a comptruck is. If ya wanna go by them rules well you 90 series guys with 2" body lift are more illegal than me ! I put a set of 31"s back on and I'm legal as any standard bloke on here (only running 2" suspension lift)

A comp truck something heavily modified and sucks ass for any kind of road use don't try and skew the definition. Mine is all standard suspension with some flexy coils and long shocks that's all.

And waddya know 1 1/2 years later that mud hole shit is still there and still never seen a ranger up there to this day... And I wasn't me who put the video up it's you so called flippin enthusiasts that wanna fight to keep the tracks open that put the video up of a little skid in some mud. Get a grip

              • A comp truck isn't necessarily something overly modded, you could take a stock standard truck and compete. There is all levels of comps.
                Any way

Im over this back and forth thing..cya

The Australian Army is having the big sale now, along with the 110 Rovers. They are all being snapped up, some for very ridiculous prices. I wouldn't be taking on an ex Defence Rover, but I have always had ideas of a Mog camper. They will all be sold as Mercedes is now replacing the Rover and MAN is replacing the Mog.
