  • Do these bfg on king wheels look good?

so I was over a mates house and was offered a set of 4 near new BFG m/t and a 1 BFG AT all in 265/70/17 on 17x8 king wheel.

What do you reckon. Do they look ok? I'm sorta unsure because I don't usually get mt and usually get bfg at as I do mostly touring and beach work. So never actual had mts before. Will they be heaps noisy?

I did a test fit and doesn't look like they will rub anywhere. He wasn't sure of the offset which is also a concern as they were on a Mitsubishi challenger.

Finally what do you reckon would be a good price to pay for them?

Looks is a really personal thing, personally I don't like black rims and I don't like white lettering showing, so for me I think they look awful, but why does what I think matter? If you like the look then go for it!

Re the noise, if they are available from a mate then chuck all four on and go for a drive, they will be noisier but a bit like looks, how noisy is too noisy will vary from person to person, with a test drive you know for sure.

If you don't need muddies theni would want them cheap to make it a good deal.

    Cheers Andrew

Offset looks wrong to me, check if they scrub on the UCA.

I put them on and did full lock each way and doesn't hit anything. Comes close to the front black plastic inner guard which is just behind the bumper. But I'm pretty sure they cut this off when installing a bull bar which I should be getting in the new year

            X3 for white writing in.
What do they cost brand new? Maybe $2000? So figure it out from there.

Never realised white writing out was try hard. Lol as that is how I usually have them.

I've had a few of dark/black rims on previous cars like my old F6 so use to it.

Anyone know what the latest challenger wheel offset is. All I could find was ET38 As standard fit, so unsure if that is positive or neg

If you take some measurement from inner and outer rim edges to the mounting face you could put those measurements into an online wheel offset calculator and that will give you the offset.

                  ditto what BlakMoth said.
Offset doesnt look right either. Challengers from memory are offset 38 usually or occasionally 46. Not compatible I would think but you 120 guys out there would know better than I.
Personally I dont like the look of that style wheel. However beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
If the tyres are ok and you can steel them at a good price maybe get them and sell the rims and replace with better ones.

                    sorry mate, personal preference

if you are chopping and changing wheels and tyres don't forget to factor in the cost of fitting, balance and alignments. Makes sure you come out on top!

You probably shouldn't ask if they look good on a forum where taste differs so much from person to person. Personally, I have black rims and writing showing so I think they suit your rig. White writing facing in just looks strange to me, wouldn't say it facing out is try hard though. Everyone is different.

I would say if they work without any problems mechanically and don't foul anywhere and you like the look then go for it without a doubt.

+38 offset would make it illegal on a 120 and 150.

You asked so here is my answer.

White letters out for me as it breaks up the blackness. As for the black rims, not to sure but it does appear to be a red line on them, once again breaking up the blackness.

Looks good to me too, just make sure the offset is legal.
