    Crammy

Still the km's are low 3000km, driving on the blacktop mainly however we did do some 4wd down at Dwellingup an hr out of Perth. There was a mix of rain soaked gravel, pea gravel and some rocky trails. Have checked our tyres after the drive and they are fine, no cracks or feathering of the blocks even on the narrower sections of the tread. Talk about gravel grabbers I've still got gravel stuck between the tread!!!

Anyway I've been running the tyre pressure at 40psi on the blacktop and down to 25-28psi on the trek in Dwellingup, just to give you an idea.

Will keep you updated with the tyres, they are still quite new.

Hey Matt how are the AT3's going?

I haven't persued the issues with the tyres anymore, but if they get worse I'll take them back.

      Nick,

I run my AT3's a the same pressures as yourself and I know exactly what you mean about holding stones, I picked a crap load out of mine before I changed the MTZ's over.

Speaking of which, it's great going back to a tyre thats quiet and handle on the bitumen! I shouldn't bag out my MTZ's as they're an awesome offroad tyre, just not the best on bitumen.

I probably drive 80% road, 20% offroad. Offroad I've driven everywhere from sand (Bribie and Fraser), mud to rocks (including 12+ trips on the real sharp shale stuff over at Lake Eucumbene). I do have the odd chip here/there but none of the deep tread cuts and chunks of rubber cut out from embedded rocks that you have.

            Sorry Crammy,

I was a little confused, we actually have 2 troopies atm, a new V8 D4D is replacing our 4.2TD. The old one that did the trip actualy has AT1s on it, and they seem fine.

The newie has just had AT3s fitted, but is still in the process of being Kitted out with all our TV gear, so has done very limited Ks.

Funny thing is, both troopies had their tyres fitted at the same tyre shop, same info given re vehicle use. Same brand but different model recommended.

Sorry for the confusion, too much going on atm!!
