So I go and buy 3 secondhand Prado alloy rims off Gumtree for my camper trailer, only to find that the rims I bought have different wheel nut holes!!
The difference is:
What wheels did I just purchase? Did toyota change the design? If so in what year?
The difference is:
- My '09 Prado's wheel holes are larger than the stud. The nuts have a mating 'thick washer' (for want of a better phrase) that fits into the void between the stud and the rim hole.
- The wheels I purchased secondhand have holes that fit the stud exactly. The rim holes are tapered - to fit tapered wheel nuts.
