Bob Jane Fyshwick - it didn't take too much to wrangle the price down. Got them fitted the same day too. Top service.

When everyone quotes the prices they paid per tyre eg $299, $282, $288 etc, is this the total price or is there extras such as disposal or enviromental fees. It has been a long time since I have had to buy tyres.

The price I gave was the total cost I paid for each tyre to be fitted, balanced - drive in/drive out.

Anyone know where I can get the 265/65/17LT's from in Melbourne?

Seems that everyone is out of stock and Bridgestone are saying that they will not have stock until mid March at the earliest.

I got 4 x 275x65 LT's yesterday from Jax Townsville for $295 each driveaway cost. The 265's were quoted $10 cheaper. This was a long way cheaper than others in NQ. They are a bit noisier than the originals which had 67,000 on them. They look good and should do the job. Early days but the scangauge is showing average fuel going from 9.2l/100 to 9.6l/100 but I need to get the GPS on to the speed as I think I'm going faster than I used to - the dealer quoted around 2-3% was expected.

An update on fuel economy since putting the Bridgestones on ... using around 5% more fuel according to scangauge. Yikes! Speed checked by GPS.

I found they just got more noisy with time, as the tread wore down, too. Eventually sounded like a wheel bearing going, (but it wasn't)...
