Great News.. I have spoken with someone at BFG and 265/70R17 BFG will be coming into Australia Prior to end of year.. So if youra BFG Person and you can wait then these KM2 Mudd Terrains will be availalable from all Michelin & BFG Goodrich dealers in the coming months..

It seems the 265's are finally starting to become more available, I got 4 fitted today at Tyre Plus in Mandurah, $386ea. Test them out in the mud tomorrow.

Mudboy, I had no problems in the mud with them and they seem ok on the road. Abit of road noise around the 100kph mark but not as bad as I was expecting.

I have just been able to find a set, very hard to find, but got them at Tyres plus, the only thing is i got the last ones in australia, and after talking to a few other tyre shops they won't be available for another 3 to 4 months.

this is really starting to give me the s...s , i want these tyres but no one has them and no one can give an answer as to when . you would think that you would be able to get hold of a set in sydney or at least GET THEM ORDERED and on the way here . :x :x :x . Jesus , 6 weeks for a bullbar , 8 to god knows when for tyres . is this the standard waiting time for accessories for a prado .

I've lost count of how many dealers I've tried in the last week... most don't even know you can get it in 265/70r17 until I ask them to check, and while some originally say they can get them in, all end up saying that there's none in the country and that there isn't even an ETA on the next shipment...

I got tired of BFG's stories three months ago and decided to get Mickey Thomson ATZ's. Not regretted the choice in the least.

At least you can get them (or most any other tyre for that matter) if you need another with any drama or waiting!

You might have a point there - even if I hold out for the next shipment, will there be any available in the future?

I hear 4wd action just rated the maxxis bighorn as the best mud tyre. And they're cheaper... And in stock...

Has anyone considered (or already tried) 245/75R17's?

I had been shopping for 265/70R17, but the 245/75R17 is only 3mm shorter in diameter (at 800mm which still equates to a 32" tyre). I wonder if the reduced width would help offset the weight of the taller tyre, and it also appears to be cheaper.

Have u confirmed availabilty in oz?? could be an issue as it seems to be with every other BFG tyre.
