Re: How many Km r you getting out of ya rubber
Wow, you guys are impressive. I got 7k from a Cooper ATR 265/65/17 after staking it on the Old Coach Road in WA and replaced it at Ceduna. I then got 23k from another 2 driving from Perth to Sydney, Cape York, and Mt Isa. I changed one at Adel's Grove and the other just outside Mt Isa. The Cooper distributor at Mt Isa said that he couldn't plug them because the rims had worn the inside of the walls to the belts and the tyres were full of "tyre dust". He seemed to think that either a slow leak or running with pressures too low caused the alloys to plane inside the tyres. He also said that the ATRs were not too good on the shale roads in the "outback" and recommended Cooper STs, followed by BFGs, then the ATRs. So I now have 2 BFGs as spares waiting for the Coopers to run their course.
