I'm hoping to try and get some decent aftermarket wheels to try and dress the prado up a bit - I see too many prados with the Factory alloys. The ROH and CSA alloys offered by most wheels shops doesn't do much for me either (read: boring)- the factory wheels are less boring!! Anyway I was hoping to run something and still fit a MT tyre (I don't have the room for swapping over two sets of rims). I've searched the internet high and low and attmpeted to speak to various tyre places and so far only Mickey Thompson offer a wheel (Torque) that 1. looks good and 2. confirms that it fits a 120 Prado However its an 18x8.5 +20 wheel which means approx 3mm less inwards space - the only tire sizes that seems to be offered for a 18 inch wheel in a MT is either a 305/60 R18 (most common), and a 275/70 R18. Does anyone have any idea if this will fit without fouling on suspension components? What size offsets (of wheels are available in Australia) that can people confirm that fit a 120 prado?
I found this on a european Toyota forum - the rims are a 17x8.5 +5 with a 265/70R17 MT
Anyone have any idea how this will go offroad when flexing the suspension with regards to scrubbing?
