Ya Isaw that and to me it is one of ... If ya piss me off; I will slap a sticker and a non conformance on ya car

Fix it or spend $$ and see me in court...

" Dropped into Clark Rubber... Walked out and questioned the want VS need of the extra wide tyres VS the cost of quality flares.. "

So being teh sort of "plan B"type I am (with some reservation) leaving it to the Tyre place to comment / advise / prove that it is OK...

If I think it looks too iffy :? Then I can drop back to the the 245 but if something like your pic and teh tyre guys say OK...

THEN; I guess I will be driving around Saterday afternoon on some new 265 coopers feet, all fitted to some cheep alloy mags

YEP: Pics will follow; for not only you who have offered assistance etc but for those that might follow..

Thought about buying Dicksons Corner store..

            1: 2 bed place = for self
2: The 3 bed house = to rent out or the kids
3: The shop for Coffee and Computer stuff

Then realised no room for teh car

            Sorry... BOT.

Will be heading of in 25min to get my new wheels.. Pics when I get back.

            A: Before teh upgrade:

            B: After the upgrade:

            Conclusion...

1: They state it is teh most common tyre / rim upgrade

2: As to actual status... I believe it would be subjective; however if one was to do something really silly and slap / toss in the face of those charged to enforcing various regs, then one could be in water a little deeper than expected.

3: Flares are on the radar but nothing suitable at present...

Mark I assume you only have an original 225/70 17 as a spare? You should look to get a 17x7.5 with a 265 on it because of the 30mm difference in diameter. If you are interested I could let one of my steelies go including used (almost 3 years old though and about 60% worn) Cooper ATRs. pm if you are interested.

                      THANKS FOR THAT !!!

All done and dusted... Now for a few days on Morton :-) Do a search for Oz At War and look for the Rouse Battery etc... Some years ago we did some basic review of the bunkers and a few hidden sports..

AT the end of teh day; like he said

                          Somewhere around $1000 each.

There is currently a set on eBay. If I had the time to get to Queensland and pick them up they'd be mine. Hah.

Toyota quotedd me $968 each when I enquired 6 years ago. Try secondhand on Ebay or have a look at the Speedy Grande rims; which are exactly the same except for the nuts.

                              Cheers Andrew

When I needed an extra spare for mine I got a new Speedy Grande, cost about $160 from Bob Jane and as AJ120 said the only difference is the nuts although I have been told that the Toyota centre caps don't fit properly.
