Looks like the A/T3 is replacing the ATR. Got a good rap here http://www.off-road.com/trucks-4x4/revi ... 53156.html

      Hi,

I have owned both a GU Patrol and no a 120 and I have upgraded both to 265/70 R17s. Got over 50K out of Gu before Trading in on 120 and these tyres have 20K on them now and still look new. If they hav a downfall is that they are what they say they say they are, All Terrain, if had time again would keep highway tyres for highway and get another set of rims with ST (or if lotto fairy lands) STT for off road. ATRs are great tyres, I have driven over some prety nasty stuff crossing Australia on them two years ago, not a mark. Mind you I am pretty particualr about tyre pressures too.

I have no problem recommending these and would also recommending 'insuring' them with a good tyre pressure monitoring kit. Easier to fix a small hole than a 'ripped' tyre. Old addage, if you have it you never need it.

that's not the case lift is different that the tyre size most states say 15 mm in tyres is illegal and 5o mm and 12 mm in tyres is good

We just got back from Innaminka, Birdsville, Simpson desert etc, etc, over 7,000km in total, and could not be happier with BFG AT KO LT tyres 265/65/17...delighted with these tyres.
We came across two people with coopers who had schreded on the dirt roads, and they had trouble getting replacement tyres, so I am glad I went with the BFGs, and we had no problems at all.
Currently I run them at 42psi on highway, 34psi on bad dirt roads, 18-20psi in sand, and down to 15psi if really soft, dry sand with sand hills, and that worked for us very well indeed.
