    Re: Anyone bought a ZR yet?

    We have bought a ZR. We have only done 100km in it, but the signs are good. It is comfortable and suits the two of use. We intend to tow a camper trailer, so we don't need the third row of seats, not even the second. It certainly has performed well in the small amount of bush we have seen. Cheers eagerlearners

      Good to see there are a few shorty's already ou there. I have not seen any on the road yet.

      When I ordered mine in December I was told to expect a mid Feb delivery, but I have only just finally recieved the password to track my order online and it says that a production date has not even been scheduled yet! Looks like I am in for a bit of a wait.
      Thanks,

      Adam

        I have heard many say that there is a fair wait but FYI, I ordered my Ebony SX two weeks ago and took delivery last Wednesday, lasted 2 hours all shiny before it was covered in mud, have done 500km already - 300km off road.
        2010 150 series ebony 3 door SX turbo diesel auto - factory towbar, Goodyear MTR Kevlar 265x70x17, ARB Deluxe Bar, Safari Snorkel, Light Force Genesis 210s, more to come...........

          Should be due late January to mid February.
          Hi Walker

          I am guessing you have been driving it for a few weeks now, are you able to give us a report on what you have found (Good and Bad) and compared to teh Paj Shorty you came from?

            Had a closer look at one of these yesterday at the car yard. They look funny up close because they're so short. Would be interested to see how they handle off-road.

                    I drove past Macquarie 4x4 [ARBdealer]at Windsor nsw today and notice that they have a new charcoal 3dr ZR company car which is set up with a new ARB bullbar similar to the sahara bar but with out any pipe loops looked smart and also appeared to have a suspension lift.It was 1 good looking car but i did not have time to stop for a good look,next time

                      Re: Anyone bought a ZR yet?

                      I bought a Silver ZR two days ago. I'm not certain of the delivery date but was told that it should already be in the country. I too will tell the rig build story as it happens.

                      So far I have the genuine;
                      Towbar
                      Roof rack
                      Headlight and bonnet protectors
                      Front and rear rubber mats.

                      Other bits and pieces will be;
                      Darkest legal window tint
                      ARB combo bar
                      OME suspension
                      Winch
                      Dual battery
                      17" wheels.

                      The standard 18" wheels are an issue. Living in QLD, we're only allowed an increase in overall diameter of 15mm. The choice of "legal" rubber in 18" is narrow so I'm keen to source 17" wheels. Not sure of what is available that will fit the ZR. Any ideas?

                        Re: Anyone bought a ZR yet?

                        I just bought one and couldn't be happier, goes well, we only have one kid so didn't really need the extra room
                        and thought at the same price as a wagon gxl why not have a bit of luxury
                        . So far have fitted an arb sahara bar, dual battery, ipf super rally lights
                        and car is currently at kaymar getting a rear bar designed and made.
                        Should get it back in a aprox a week. We are designing bash plates and tow hooks next.
                        Hope fully two to three weeks away.

                              Not much change from 70K for our ZR with a few extras and aftermarket add on's.

                                Love the colour coded ARB bar on the 150's
                                So conflicted right now as to get a GXL or a ZR. Both have their good and bad points.
