    The manufacturer of the Roadsafe points has offered to come and check my vehicle for compatibility with their points and the TJM T13 bar. Not sure when that will occur but will post back once I know.

    @Muz,
    I'm not sure about the impact of recovery points on crumple zones, it's an interesting question though.

      Guys, I've had a few inquiries relating to the Roadsafe points and compatibility with the TJM T13 bar. I still don't have an answer but will follow up with them.

      I also came across these while checking eBay tonight :-

      I'll ask the question of T13 compatibility with these guys as well.

      I have no affiliation with either seller, I'm just trying to find a suitable option for my own Prado.

        Ask for a photo of these fitted to a 150. I reckon it would be worth seeing. I have never seen anything like those on a 150.

          I reckon that picture is wrong. There is no way it would fit unless it is a rear point.

            The picture has to be wrong & thats why I said to get a picture with thes points fitted, cause I would love to see how they are supposed to go on to a 150.

            I would reccommend extreme caution on this sale.

              I think they are rear recovery points.

                They look like they will line up to the mounting points on the rear chassis, exactly where my Toyota tow bar is mounted.

                Im not Bogged - I've just lost traction. . . . . and now I'm showing the wife why I bought those Maxtrax, and the tyre deflator, and the compressor, and the bullbar, and the winch, and a lot of other goodies I've hidden in the Prado

                  The ad doesn't specify whether they are front or rear points but I will find out and post back. I did think they looked a bit odd compared to all the other ones I've seen.

                    have emailed them to see if they have a WLL rating.

                      I don't think they will because they call them tow points not recovery points...

                      They are the same as I have on my car. Unfortunately no rating.

                        I've ordered these ones, very similar to the others but called "Recovery Points" and stamped WLL 5000kg. Does talk about being used with bridle rig as well.

                          @Fabes,
                          These are the OI copy/re-badged ones mentioned earlier in this thread. As I understand it fnb4wd.com.au used to sell the genuine OI ones, perhaps the seller has found a cheaper supplier.

                          @Dusty,
                          They are the Roadsafe ones I mentioned earlier. I will be out & about near where Roadsafe are located (Braeside, Vic) next Thursday so I may just pop over there and resolve the TJM T13 compatibility question myself rather than waiting for them to come out and see me.

                          ETA: Just went out and took some pics of my bar in relation to the existing recovery points. Apologies for the quality but the sun is going down here so lighting isn't the best.

                          You can see the loop of the existing points sticking out below the bar in this one; the recovery points are attached to a crossbar:-

                            Is the tow point shown in my 3rd photo the factory original for the 150 series? When I first looked at them I thought they were part of the bullbar as I haven't ever looked at a 150 that closely. If you look at all the plating around that tow point you can see why I may have difficulty fitting an aftermarket recovery point.

                                Hey VeeZeeSS, any drama fitting them up (if you got to it yet). I expect like the others it'll be a bit of a pain with the nut on the wire.
