Ok so the first two are the problem step and you can see how close it is to the sill and the third pic is the drivers side where it fits normally

All mounts look like this.



Spacers/washers between bolt and outer mount not between the two mounts.

When I get home I will take some shots of the top and where the step part sits in relation to the sill. Phone shot flash was just a whiteout.

We have just purchased a 2010 with an ARB ultimate winch bar -we have been quoted in NSW $1245 supply only for ARB rockslider/scrub as the only come together as one for the 150 - has anybody found a cheaper option just as good? And has anyone purchased the Powerful 4X4 version as they are a lot cheaper.

Are you sure, you can buy the ARB side protection gear in the following options

Side Rails Only
Side Rals and Steps
Side Steps only.

I have the ARB side steps installed, see my build thread for further info, last pages.

TJM also make the Side Rails and Steps or Just steps only, fair bit cheaper as well.

I'm not sure if its changed but when I looked at the Powerful 4x4 awhile ago they weren't airbag comparable.

Disregard my post just checked their site and they advertise they are airbag compatible now.
I've got nothing really.........

having read the lot I'm still unclear whether ARB steps are strong and reliable to hold the weight of the car and act as a slider or a jack point.

Hi Russkie, ARB protection steps provide a substantially greater level protection than OEM steps, however they haven't been specifically designed as rock sliders or jacking points.

They're still plenty strong, RussKie, as well as being fully side airbag compatible

I have been looking at the rock sliders from superior engineering, they have two sorts on there website that look pretty good. Just google superiorengineering to have a look.

I have had the Powerful 4X4 rock sliders for nearly a year and they have been great. From the sounds i have heard and the scrapes on them I know they have been tested and they haven't dented or budged, providing good protection.
