Additional fuel filter setup

Has anyone done this with a 150 series? I did a search but was unable to come up with anything....

I am doing a trip across to Darwin in a few weeks and just to be super safe was thinking of adding an extra fuel filter (pre factory filter) to my 150 series. (with water trap) Has anyone done/seen or looking at doing this? just interested on where fitted and if system needs to be bled afterwards......

check out 4wd action mags, im sure ive seen some advertised in them, the other thing you can do is go to a diesel repair centre- bosch is a good company should be one near you, have a suss on the net, just make sure they know what they are talking about when it comes to common rail, dont believe the neighbour or your dads mate.

There was also quite a bit of discussion regarding the benfits of fitting a Racor type filter
but I can't find it now. Maybe someone else can remember the link.

Hey mate give terry a call at tjm cairns they have been fitting a system called stanadyne filters to mine spec vehicles and i know they have one for 150 prado they look like a very good filter and its the only one the fit to all mining vehicles.
