Well, I wanted to post a pic of my TJM T3 bullbar on my brand new VX, but TJM did such a terrible install job that Toyota won't release the car to me until it is fixed. The cuts made to each fender are just raw with no lining added, and the bar is rubbing hard up against the area under the chrome grill. It seems to hang a bit low too, compared to the pics on their website. TJM HQ had the car for well over a week. I would have loved an ARB again, but prefer the way the T3 maintains the style of the tear drop lights.

Looks like I have won the battle with wife on the Bullbar. She was keen on the ARB Sahara - but i'm not convinced with it giving limited side protection. Aesthetics was her requirement.
Persuaded that the ARB Deluxe Bar was the go. Our car's white - she initially wanted black. Too 'mining' car for me - looks like White on White will win out, similar to the one on the front page of this thread.

I picked up a cheap Outback bar for my 2.8L GX. Is that the same as a T15?Originally posted by brogers View PostI've no experience with the TJM T3 bar sorry, but I'm, considering a T15 steel winch bar on a new "2016" 2.8 L prado...at $900 (plus a standard fitting cost), it seems to be good value, and I'll get a winch for what I save over say an ARB delux Bar. The ARB delux bar looks to be very popular and also looks great...but are there any big disadvantages with the TJM T15 bar folks? ( I know it doesn't have fog lights)...but has anyone got a TJM T15 bar..or regret getting one?
I've been very happy with it, but whenever I see an ARB Deluxe bar in person I still think the ARB looks better. Just something about it that seems to be of better quality.. Hard to place it. The ARB does stick out a fair bit more though. I also think the TJM has better angles for clearing steps etc. By the way I have owned an ARB deluxe bar on a both an NW Pajero and a R51 Pathfinder.
If I hadn't picked up a used Outback bar for $700, I would have saved up the $2.5K for an ARB bar..

Thanks all, I've ordered the T3 bar in silver pearl colour, they are doing $250 cash back until Dec 31. All installed is costing $2400.
I went back to ARB and told them this prior to going ahead, in their arrogance the response was never heard of a T3 bar, then looked at the pics and noticed it looked good and similar to Sahara. I asked for re-quote, best they could do was $3000 installed!
Easy choice for me, will post some pics when it goes on in January.

I have the T3 on my facelift. As other have said, I chose it for the reason that it suits the tear drop lights on the facelift much better than ARB bars. Again, its a personal opinion but I reckon the TJM bars look much better on the facelifts.Originally posted by Nadgey View PostPicked up my new 2.8L 150 on Friday in Silver Pearl, can't believe I'm saying this, but I think I am getting a TJM T3 Bar. I have always gone ARB deluxe bars in the past, and was going to go Sahara bar, but price difference of at least $500 has done it for me, and the service at ARB Regency Park SA lacking! In saying that if ARB matched TJM T3 colour coded bar price of $2400 installed, I would consider!
Any one regret going T3 on facelift?

I have the T3, not only cheaper than the Sahara, but i think it looks better - shaped to suit the 150 lights, instead of covering the parkers....

While I agree the chrome look on the dark red isn't pretty, did you see my attempt at colour coordination on page two?Originally posted by Sydneydude View PostHa ha ... The ECB bar has the aesthetic charme of a double T-girder ... no offense ... but for me that must have taken a lot of denial to "design" that bar to fit the 150.
Do you still think it looks crap? Not that that matters in the least LOL.
In my opinion, the ECB is far better structurally designed and manufactured, when compared to the tack welded, Chinese bars that are overwhelmingly most popular in this thread. Only last week I saw the questionable quality of Chinese steel still in the news.
I can accept this is my opinion and that it is only important to myself.
Anyway, my post is more in disappointment and not meant to induce flaming.
The line, "you don't know what you've got til it's gone" comes to mind. Hopefully the Redcliffe crowd can power on.
Fortunately, I see a lot more ECBs on Prados than what this thread indicates.
Oh, btw Sydneybloke, yes - I DO ride an Avalanche GT3, although I have been told I'm way to old to still ride a pushy!
