Hi guys, also looking at the rhino pioneer for my Kakadu but 1.5m model. Anyone know if this can be fitted to rhino roof racks utilizing factory rails? I want to avoid removing the factory rails and really like the flat tray of the pioneer.
Cheers,
Dejo

Looks good Adam...appreciate the pics. I think this will be the way I go but first I need to sell my old rack. No room left outside!

Cool Adam....any pics of your rig?Originally posted by adamr7 View PostI have a Rhino Pioneer, it is just over 2 metres long, I have an oztent rv4, and it is a perfect fit. I have a Foxwing Awning mounted on the passenger side, and the Oztent tucks in neatly along side. 2 small ratchet straps to tie down, very quick and easy.

what rack would you use to toss an Oztent on the roof? An opened ended Rhino Pioneer? I want something like a Rhino as to ease in taking on and off.
The Rhino 1510 does not work for me very well on the 150

Yep... Ended up just buying the Leg kit and re-used the HD bars that I had leftover from the 100's. Kinda think the extra llength suits to. the100's ones are 1375mm vs the 150's which I think are about 1270 or so.... It doesn't look out of place at all. Now all I''ve got to do is modify the old roofrack that I've got stored in the shed so I can just bolt it to the HD rack and all is good.
Learnt something with the Rhino HD install...... Should have inquired if I could have just bought the feet sections that bolt to the roof instead of the full kit as the legs that came with the kits are exactly the same legs as I had with the 100's kit. Could have saved a bit of money..... will know for next time.
I was also looking at the Rhino Mesh Basket (1810x1200 I think), if re-using my old roofrack doesn't work, I'll go with the basket but the basket weights 22kg, while my old rack only weighs 13kgs.
On a side note: What's people's thoughts on Roof-top Storage Bags? What Size? What Brand/model, etc?
Thoughts.... comments?(should I make another topic for this one?)
cheers....

I have had no issues or seen any leaking and considering the amount of rain we have had as late think it is all good. The setup is very versatile since only six screws come off to remove the 3 heavy duty bars and you have caps that go on the RCP feet.
My only problem is my tray I kept from the 120 is 1500 long and too short for the 3 rails so I need a longer one.
Anyone interested in buying a 1510 Rhino tray! :-)

We have one of those repco rola racks also.. I take it off when not in use as the wife complains about shopping centres, however only takes a few minutes to install, I think it's great however I was thinking of putting a metal mesh on the base ?

I have the ARB deluxe alloy rack with a Foxwing attached - takes approx 3 mins to set up and I think it is awesome.
Fully approved and funded by the Minister of Finances!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rob,
I took my roof rails of myself. With the 120 model they had the covers that replaced the legs that went into the roof rail. For the 150 model they dont.
They suggested to silicone the holes. I silicone around the holes then put the bolts back in the roof and put more silicone around them. I made sure I can take the bolts out when im ready to put roof racks on.
