        Nice work Dave.
With Paula due in around 6 weeks tell Lorna she can borrow (keep) one of my kids! (mine aren't as quiet or polite as yours though...)

Good news on the snorkel and I was only checking out a white Altitute at CMI yesterday, problems with diesel use of around 17-18l/100km. The service manager cracked the airbox and pulled out a BROWN filter caked with dust - they needed a snorkel for clean air on dusty tracks and so do you (make that - so do I!)

C'mon man, bring it to bendleby to show us 120's how its done...
        Cheers
        Micheal.

I had a good sugestion but for sapradogxl it is a lost cause. For everyone else, the parts guy at our local Toyota dealership said it was unusual to see a car with a bullbar and no snorkle. He said when they cut the front bumper to fit the bullbar they open up the inner guard. This means dust and water can shoot straight into the inner guard from the air gap in the middle of the bar. SWMBO said "you had better take it back to ARB and get a snorkle fitted". Job done.

Of Course there ois always the philosophy that it is a whole lot more efficient in terms of getting your way, "It's a whole lot simpler to ask for forgiveness, than it is for permission"

I must admit with all that goolwa sand we found in the air box the other night it only makes sense to get a snorkel for sand driving!!!

Missus liked the idea that with a snorkel I could stay down longer without coming up for air

Just a small point: if you're serious about avoiding dust, spin the snorkel scoop around backwards when on dirt roads - particularly if you're following someone. You then get a passive precleaning effect as dust particles fall out of suspension as the air does a 180 degree turn. In the other case you have a vacuum cleaner.
