  • Install of accessories

After installing diff breathers from BRC, I went to tackle the install of ARB aircompressor, P3 brake controller and GME 3450, but after pulling the dash apart to find a position, and slots to put the rocker switches in, I realised that the rocker switch doersn't fit in the 150 slots, and it is very hard to find positions for installing other accessories and switches.

If you have installed spot light switches, UHF or any othe gadget, could you please provide some guidance as to where and how you installed these items. Pictures also would be great. If you had to make the solts bigger for the rocker switches, can you please provide the way you went about it....

All I can say, is the 150 is very different behind the dash than the 120.....

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi sapradogxl,

All you have to do is take a file to the existing blanks on the right hand side.
Just shave about 1mm and the rocker switches fit. You will not see it either
    Hope this helps.

Either file out existing or get switch that fits from sidewinder.com.au, which looks better and has a wiring harness that fits more conveniently in the space behind the RHS switches.

I don't want to rag on ABR, but DO NOT buy his switches... they're f*cking sh!t to say the least: I bought a number of them and they didn't fit, didn't work, and he didn't care.

Whether they're the same as newprotech, I don't know...

No they were the right ones, They just didn't fit. The buttons would stick, and the switches came apart anyway.

Maybe he has changed suppliers since I got mine. Either way, I wasn't impressed.

Hmm, maybe I'll stick with the otrattw ones then and do some filing. Needed different etchings anyway for the different functions.

                          Hey AMTS,

I finally got around to fitting the switches I picked up from you. No wiring yet because they only have 4 pins instead of the 6 pins that were on another switch I installed for the thermo fan. I'm not sure which pin does what.

Do you have a wiring diagram and is it just a given that a relay is to be used.
