Hmmm, don't seem to be many out my way (not that are open on weekends it seems). Yellow Pages site is useless though so if anyone knows of one in the SE suburbs of Melbourne let me know. Would have gone on the hunt today but had a funeral to attend.
I would be surprised if you couldn't get what you need at bunnings, I reckon I got the bolts for mine at our local Mitre 10, and that's a country store. Just take one of your bolts to check the thread and make sure the ones you get have 8.8 or 10.9 on the head.
Cheers Andrew

Fido if you keep this thread going it will end up as a mini series on tv.
Says the man who has his brother to do all the mechanical stuff . Unfortunately I have no mechanics in the family, only painters, plumbers, and a sparky.
I just want to see if I can get it to as many pages as the Smartbar thread :leet:

Fido, Luck has kissed me on this. Plumber, painters and sparkies are bloody handy. I just spent a fortune on a sparky.
Well just keep the blow by blow updates of how you are going. You will do it.
Mate I'm a Wesfarmers shareholder too but with the price of fuel in Melbourne right now I'm going to the closest store. The Mitre 10 is on the way to Bunnings so a pit stop there might save me a trip on the Monash carpark.
Ended up going to Bunnings and bought a pack of Romak High Tensile M10.0 x 30mm bolts with nuts for $4.98. They are painted black but I'm assuming that won't matter, heads are stamped 8.8 (best we could find). Will have to re-use the nuts that came with the Tigerz11 winch as they are squared off to stop them turning in the recess on the base of the winch, the ones supplied in the pack are standard hex shaped ones. Will also have to keep the washer and spring washer off the Tigerz11 supplied bolts.
It may have been cheaper to buy the loose bolts on their own but at least this way I know they all match the thread pitch on the OEM nuts. We took the winch with us and tried the nuts in the holes before leaving the car park, allowing for washers, etc and plate thickness they should be fine.
They keep telling me the bar has to come off but having now slotted the winch into position I know that's not true. With your Mako where did they end up putting the control box? The one on the Tigerz11 Grande is massive and only comes with an angled mount bracket that looks like it's meant to go on the top of the bullbar (i.e. between the spotties). I can't do that with mine because I have the front camera.
mine is mounted on top. i did see someone mounted theirs on the inside of the bar behind the number plate (if that makes sense). i don't mind mine being on top - easy to access and nice and high for water crossings. the camera would be an issue for you though.
Silver 150 GXL V6 Auto: TJM T13 bull bar, Avenger Mako TDS 9.5 winch, 2" lift - Bilstein shocks King springs, factory tow bar, Piranha battery tray, Red Arc isolator, E-Nex DC24MF battery, GME TX3540 UHF, ARB 47L fridge, ARB fridge slide, IPF spotties, Tekonsha P3 brake controller

Yes the camera is the main issue, the control box mounted in the conventional spot would completely obscure it. I don't think it will fit inside the bar, at least not beside the winch.
It will probably have to go in the engine bay but that might not be too convenient if the wireless remote goes kaput.
Eight bolts and disconnect the fog lamps and indicators and the tray for the winch is there for mounting. Cheers
Crystal Pearl Altitude 150 Landcruiser Prado. TJM sensor bar, brush guard, side steps. KM2 BFG on GXL alloys. Kaymar bar, Drifta and MSA fridge slide. ARB locker and compressor, and MK11 compressor and fuel filter bracket.

With mine you'd have to disconnect the front parking sensors as well. It's probably quicker to remove the grille and you don't need 2 people to lift it.
Getting the winch onto the winch plate after removing the grille is not too difficult, have done it a few times now. My last post relates more to the control box mounting, if you've seen the Tigerz11 Grande control box you would know it's a big bugger.
I'm hoping someone can help with a wiring question. There is a thin black wire coming out of the control box with a lug on the end of it. The instructions say this has to be connected to the earth terminal on the bottom of the winch motor but can it go to another earth point instead? I'm asking because I can see it will difficult to mount the winch without doing the electrics as well if that small wire must go to the bottom of the winch.
There is also a thick black cable with lugs on either end. I know one end goes on the earth terminal of the winch motor and the other end goes to the -ve terminal on the battery.
ETA: Have looked at a couple of different Tigerz11 winch fitting videos on YouTube and it would seem that you need to attach that thin wire to the bottom of the winch motor so that's what I'll do. In any case I'm going to have to go to an auto electrician to get the control box cables lengthened as I'll be mounting the box in the engine bay.
