Hey All!
Water on long trips...
I’ve been thinking about this issue for a while now and have come up with a plan but need some help...
Here is my proposal; A Rear Cargo Area Water Tank - This eliminates the need for storing water under your car or on the roof rack - which from reading a number of posts on here seems to be a pain either way.... I reckon we could make a water tank - either out of metal or very hard plastic that pits in the cargo area (with baffles to stop the water splashing around whilst 4 wheeling... and it would be strong enough to sit your fridge on! What to you think??
Things to note.. if you have luggage hooks as i have (from pelican parts) and VERY useful for strapping down fridges/gear etc - they could be still be used to do that job as well has hold this theoretical water tank in place and your gear with a bit of extra rope.. Also very easily removable when you want to use the back seats!
What i need is someone in Melbourne (obviously recommended by pradopoint members who is 1 willing to give it crack/make it, water tank specialist? and 2 if enough people are interested in my little concoction... maybe order a few of these at the same time to make the said tester happy?
Thoughts are welcome!!
