Cargo Water Tank

Ok Peeps Finnaly made a choice on water tank and then went out and got some yesterday after trying a couple of options... thanks to oposite lock that let me have a crack a few of these options!

So i tried the vertical tank first with the curved cut outs - and for me it didnt sit quite right... it wobbled around due to the back rest of hte 2nd row seats not "clicking" vertical... and it was a 53lt tank..... Also t my 60lt engle frigde would sit where i want it too with the bigger tank.

I tired the slightly smaller 42 lt tank that can be used as either vertical or horizantal.. and it fit very nciely... and also allowed be to fit in the floor tank between the 1st and 2nd row seats.

All up around $440 bucks with the vertical tank filler kit and hose kit for 1 tank.. Very happy! Photos attached! And thanks for all your help PP Members!!
Ill let you all know how it goes after chritmas when i give em a test run!

I have used one of these over the last three years, 40 litres and sitting low in the vehicle (rather than jerries on the roof).

I don't travel with kids but even if you did it wouldn't be a worry as there's still room for them to put their feet down.....cost me about $200 with the hose fittings back in 2010.

The only negative is once you have used the 20 litres that's on the hose side you have to lift up the tank to transfer the water over.....but really not much of a negative.

yes agee not much of a negative to carry around that much water neatly packed inside the car...

Question for Everyone - How to you store the water tanks when you dont use them? empty/full?

All should be stored empty. Water does go off over time and the growth of mould and the like is a likley hood as well.
My water jerries, knap sacks are all stored with lid off upside down. I also cable tie a peice of fly screen mesh over the hole to stop things from living inside. letting things air out is the best thing for them.
