I finally got my bar put on. Ended up getting ARB Deluxe Bar color coded white. I love the look of it! Was going to get the Summit Bar but could not justify the extra $600 it was going to cost me. This bar also has the LED fog lights that ARB are rolling out.

    Hi all,
I purchased a summit bar and looking at getting it powder coated. Has anyone tried to match the graphite colour? Pics would be great.
    Cheers

I am interested to hear anything back on Franks above question. I am between an ARB Summit bar or the Ironman Commercial Deluxe on my 2014 GXL. I will be getting it painted white. I have also heard about issues with vibration etc. We have the ARB summit bars fitted to our 2017 work hilux's and have no issue with vibration etc, although they also have scrub bars which would brace the bar against any vibration.

Also if anyone has a photo of the Summit bar in white on a prado, that would be awesome..

Would love to hear from owners of the Ironman Deluxe and ARB Summit bullbars - in particular about vibration, bits shaking lose, noise and paintwork problems or lack thereof..?
In short - would you buy it again?

    Thanks
    Frank

    Hi guys
I went for the ECB alloy bar

A lot of bars I looked at had the "Dame Edna glasses" upsweep on the wings which I really didn't like. I was concerned that maybe the polished alloy would reflect the headlights badly at night but the top of the bar is low enough to avoid any reflections.

I’m looking at getting a tjm T13 bar with side rails and steps. I have a black prado and wanting to know if it’s worth the extra to colour code. Has anyone installed a stock black bar without colour coding on a black vehicle.

ECB Black Ripple winch bar on white VX.
Lot of work to fit it but worth the effort.
    Happy with the outcome.
    No winch yet.
All up about 60kg. Bar 20kg, brackets and bolts 20kg and winch cage 20kg.

Opposite Lock Bar Prado Facelift Kakadu

Opposite Lock Bar installed last week on our Kakadu
I love the fact it is doesn't cover the LED running lights, didn't have to move the camera or the headlight washers
Fits well with the Roadsafe recovery points and also aftermarket bash plates
Purchased at the OL show stand recently and then installed through their Noarlunga Branch $2439.00
so far couldn't be happier with the look of it

Funny you mentioned that. I did have a few phantom alarms go off while driving today but it seemed to only happen when I went into a driveway or over a ditch. perhaps the sensors were sensing the road. I'll see how it goes.

If your issue is them going off for no apparent reason you might find its just that the hole they installer drilled is slightly too small. I know rain on the bullbar can set them off but if there is no rain you can bet the sunshine has warmed up the plastic sensor and expanded it in the hole.
