Iím looking at getting a tjm T13 bar with side rails and steps. I have a black prado and wanting to know if itís worth the extra to colour code. Has anyone installed a stock black bar without colour coding on a black vehicle.

ECB Black Ripple winch bar on white VX.
Lot of work to fit it but worth the effort.
    Happy with the outcome.
    No winch yet.
All up about 60kg. Bar 20kg, brackets and bolts 20kg and winch cage 20kg.

Opposite Lock Bar Prado Facelift Kakadu

Opposite Lock Bar installed last week on our Kakadu
I love the fact it is doesn't cover the LED running lights, didn't have to move the camera or the headlight washers
Fits well with the Roadsafe recovery points and also aftermarket bash plates
Purchased at the OL show stand recently and then installed through their Noarlunga Branch $2439.00
so far couldn't be happier with the look of it

Funny you mentioned that. I did have a few phantom alarms go off while driving today but it seemed to only happen when I went into a driveway or over a ditch. perhaps the sensors were sensing the road. I'll see how it goes.

If your issue is them going off for no apparent reason you might find its just that the hole they installer drilled is slightly too small. I know rain on the bullbar can set them off but if there is no rain you can bet the sunshine has warmed up the plastic sensor and expanded it in the hole.

Nice Rig Bobcrusader! Yeah I'm getting the recovery points installed at the same time. I had already bought some Road Safe recovery points so TJM are fitting them for me at the same time as the bar for a small price adder. Thanks for the heads up anyway.

Join the club. If you plan to add recovery points or a winch, the bar has to come off, so best to get it done all at the same time. The TJM winch fits nicely, and rated well in the 4x4 mag test.

So I bit the bullet and ordered the TJM T3 bullbar, colour coded to my Crystal Pearl VX. It gets fitted in 2 weeks. Will post some pics when it's complete. $2396 incl. painting and fitting.

Nice bar. I am also looking to get the TJM T3 bar for my white 2016 VX. Initially I was determined to colour it to the Crystal Pearl, however looking at the black bar on your Kakadu, I might consider the black. It looks good against the white. If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay for the bar + recovery points? Also, have you had any issues with the front parking sensors being after relocation to the bullbar?

    Cheers,

    Hey 2016VX,

Yeah im happy with the stock black on the crystal pearl.
The T3 bar plus recovery points was $2400 fitted from TJM Hendra.
I had also read that people have had issues with the parking sensors when brought forward into the bar, but I have had no such issues. Youll notice the sensors kind of stand out as crystal white circles against the black steel, but that looks ok also. Collision detection stuff is all unaffected also, and headlight washers arent touched with the install of the T3.

Very happy with it so far.

    Cheers
