    I have a new Prado turning up next week and I have been looking at bullbar options.

    Only problem is that none of the current range of aftermarket bullbars look like they really integrate well to the new shape.

    The cut outs in the side panels just looks dodgy to me when fitting the arb or tjm bars.

    The toyota bar looks to be the only one that integrates well.

    I am primarily looking for a bullbar to mount lights and an aerial and secondary for animal protection.

    Are there any other proven options that integrate well.

        AFN looks awesome but not released as yet. I have been waiting and waiting. Look up Wolf 4x4 and you can find the bar on their webpage. They have pictures under 2014 show us your bar thread.

          After months and months of searching for the right bar I am more than happy with my colour coded ARB deluxe bar, it suits the beast nicely. I did have a thing for the AFN portugal made bar at one stage but It is now gone.

            If you are looking for just a bar to mount lights/ aerial and animal protection... check out Ironman new face lift Prado bar, it goes well with the new face lift.

              Depends on how long you can wait for the AFN bar doesn't it. Don't settle for something you don't really like. It will piss you off.

                Hi andy5, and all ... I'm also new here. We are researching a new 4WD and keep coming back to Prado. It will be our first real 4WD (currently driving a Forester), so we're on a very steep learning curve. Consequently, I can't offer any considered or forthright answers to your bull-bar questions (just opinions and more questions really) ... but FWIW I think the TJM T3 unit integrates quite nicely with the MY 14 facelift Prado. And if you are more interested in an accessory mount, over and above protection from animal impacts it might be just the thing. Maybe some of the regulars here could comment on it's relative protection potential. Most of the other bull-bars I'm seeing online seem to obstruct the DRLs to some extent.

                    Spooky, I parked beside a 150 with an ARB bar today and also thought it looked dodgy. I'd still get an ARB bar but not as nice as a 120 fitment

                        Doesn't the factory one go over the top of the bumper? Looks pretty crappy on the ones I've seen

                          Its not just the front that is a conspiracy it continues to the back if you want a rear bar/carrier and also it is not just Toyota. I wanted a bar for a trip. Only had 2 choices ARB or TJM. ARB delivery time had blown out a bit and got a TJM. Its OK but I think the Ironman is the pick from what I saw at 4wd show in Melbourne, but was still waiting for compliance.

                            the front bumper gets cut with the factory one too but it does seem to cover it more. The only one that i know of that is a complete replacement and requires no bumper cutting is that new rhino4x4 bar. Pricey tho.....
                            2013 (12 build) GX Auto.......with safari snorkel, toyota bar, tow bar, roof racks, led spots with fancy newpro switchgear, uniden remote UHF and aerial, ARB bash plates, Roadsafe recovery points, digoptions radio, general grabber AT2s, cheap ebay roof rack that has stood up surprisingly well.....
