  • Rear Draw reviews and preferences

    Hi All
I am wanting to get some rear draws and like the look of the Off Road Systems draws. http://www.offroadsystems.com.au/doc...0_2012_P&O.pdf

Does any one else have these draws and are they ok? I am undecided whether to get the fridge pack with one draw or 2 draws sise by side and then get a drop down MSA fridge slide
Does any one have any experience with pro's or cons of these units.
Can any one else recommend any other brands that they have used before
    Cheers in advance Corny

I think a few people have had issues with the MSA drop down slides, that has turned me off them. Sounds as if they nearly rattle apart.

ok I had not heard that about the Drop slides, Talking to the guys at 4wd show I went to last year I got the impression they where the best thing since sliced bread.
May be the standard slide in a fridge pack would be a better way to go.
      Cheers Corny

I would highly recommend Tanami drawers, not cheap but real good gear.

I have a MSA drop down slide with a 40Ltr waeco mounted in it and have had
no issues with rattles, slide is now 7 years old.

There's a growing number of 150m members using the Drifta Drawers Corny. I have Drifta drawers in my 120 and went away from the MSA for 3 reasons. Price weight and how much real estate they take up. I went with the integrated fridge slide which for me, was the right choice. Make sure you have a look at Drifta and some of the members rigs who have them before you decide...

Another vote for Drifta here, very good product and well priced. I've had them in two of my trucks so far and wouldn't hesitate to get them again.

They're also very willing to customise to suit as well. http://www.drifta.com.au/prado-storage-drawers-package/

Drifta was a strong contender at the start but I was concerned about the teflon runners not sliding well after a while and looked like they could rattle a fair bit might have another look. The wife did like the idea of the table on the drifta models haha.
Thanks for your feed back fella's much appreciated.

What do you mean by the integrated fridge slide for your rig? Is that 1 draw and fridge lower down beside the other draw?
                Cheers Corny

No rattles, drawers are quite a snug fit. As for the Teflon they slide real easy and if it does get a little stiffer a quick wipe down has them sliding freely again.

Mine rattles and I have tried to fix - not yet. But coming up with another idea - after 15 months. I emailed the coy for advice. No response. But it is a great slide.

Here's a link to my Drawers. The Fridge slide is in the top of the drawer system. Is half the price of the MSA and allows me to take the fridge out and use the whole back area if required.

That looks good cheers for the link. Just one more question how do you find the fridge height when slide is out? Me being 6ft don't have a problem but my wife is wanting the fridge lower as she struggles to see in the fridge. I guess like cars there is no perfect draw set up to suit all needs.

I'm 177cm. No issues either. The wife is162cm and yes, if she needs to get something out of the bottom of the fridge she struggles and that is with the ARB 60l which is lower but a bigger foot print than the likes of an engel. Solution, I bought her a $15 foldable step. Or, she gets me to get what she needs out of the fridge...

                              Hi Corny,
another vote for the Drifta drawers, mine are still going strong, have been through some absolute bashings and not a single rattle. Haven't had any issues with the teflon runners either. Highly recommend them to anyone, easy to take out and put back in as well!

                              cheers
