Hi Corigator,
Their really designed to stay in, but I feel they could be removed as needed in a 1-2 hours? (I have not done this).
This time is needed to remove the draws and top plates (about 40 screws) off the draws to get to the bolts that bolt it to the car, the wings may or may not need to come off too.
I think it would be easier in the 120 as you don't need to put the rear seats (folding under floor ones) back in.
I made up a ply wood false floor that I could put back in saving me the hassle of replacing the rear seats.
Colin
That is very heavy, makes it such a better offer, when you can remove 50kg, to fit the draws, makes it feel a bit better knowing your not adding a heap of weight..
Wanted to ask you Colin, did you put carpet or something under the draws before installing them. Have thought about it for sound proofing, but if it gets wet for some reason, might be a hassle.. The wiring that runs across the back, near the rear door, what did you do with that? We will be installing the draws this weekend, thinking to use their cross member, near the latch plate, but just put a packing plate (like a thick washer) under it, to gain that bit more hight... To many questions eh.. Just don't like doing a job, then thinking, "should have done it this way"... I did make up a 2mm sheet, with 38 degree bend as you have done for the front.. See how we go.. Cheers Odog
Hi O Dog,
Apologies if on the forum already, but do you have a few photos of your drawers and the install process. Thinking of getting a set of these but concerned about the skill and effort required.
Sorry for the delay in getting the photos attached.
As you can see when you put the 120 kit into a 150 there are no wing kits to suit it so I will either have to make some or keep using the space for towels
Fridge slide works well. The release/locking clip is a little bit of a pain but fine once you get used to it
Need to create a cover of some sort to cover the cables up at the front
Can just see the bit of wood required to raise the drawers at the front so they are level as the car has metal work at the back which is higher than the front
For someone a more handy than I am you could probably make it look alot nicer but for the price I couldn't be happier
