Isn't that why a ball-ended Allen key was shown in the instructions?

Yea but that's only for the start. Once you tighten it the backbone pulls in and the angle changes, then the Allen key won't fit from the top,
A bit of a strange design.

Don't you put the Allen key through the holes at the top of the Backbone?

Its a serious and exhausting job waxing these cars. I waxed mine 2 weeks ago so figured it will do. Though i did wax under the stock roof rails once i removed them.

When you fit the Backbone, the first bit of tightening the screws is ok. But once you need to really get them tight the angle of the backbone gets in the way of the allen key.

Gee you blokes, been keeping an eye on this thread, when I saw there has been some activity, I thought, Woo... Hoo! There here!.. You got me!.. Seems we are all a very patient bunch.. Think there should be a prize of some sort, for the first one to post, that he is holding, in his hot little hand a "backbone"... Not long to wait now.. We hope.. Cheers Odog
