      • Yep, I don't see an issue. Except you won't want to go back.

        • The boys at TJM Dandenong were helpful when I was trying to sort my recovery points out. They did a test fit and didn't charge me for the time, took me into the workshop and explained why they couldn't go on, etc. I haven't actually had anything installed by them though.

          • The Airtec snorkel has no drain holes and the intake sits has a 90 degree angle in it. How does it keep the water out and how does I drain any rain that gets in?

The credit must go to Brains for filming and editing... My Prado was just the patient!

                  • i know in general you get what you pay for, but there are snorkels on the market for around $100, yet it is about 5 x that for a leading brand. are they that much better? . Does any one have a cheap one on a 150?

There's plastic and there's plastic. With a known brand like Airtec or Safari you are buying a snorkel that will stand the test of time and weather and you know they've been around and can physically see snorkels that have been fitted for many years on the different vehicles.

X2 I have seen cheap snorkels after 6 months that look like they were installed 10 years ago.

                          • I just fitted an Airtec to my 150 and it was pretty straightforward process. Took my time and made sure everything was done right and to last so I am not left wondering if the install was done correctly by the store. I am impressed with the quality of the Airtec too, now to just get the time to install my new Steinbauer I picked up today.

                            • Anyone know of people fitting the snorkel from Ironman4x4?

                              Any issues etc?

                              Cheers,

                              • Only just become a member, no Prado yet, looking at buying a new 2.8 gxl.

Are the genuine snorkels any good or should I opt for safari or airtec? Thinking I might be able to use the snorkel as some negotiating tool.
