    Hi Dave,
Note in your buildup says you had the remote reprogrammed for the windows (a'la my Renault Scenic 2006) did you do this thru a dealer or elsewhere?
    Regards

I got it done by the dealer at the first service, just speak to them in the service department. There is another thread somewhere about other options that can be programmed by the dealer, if you do a search it should come up. I had the option whereby when you press and hold lock/unlock it winds up/down the windows. It is great for when you get out and realise the kids have left the windows down and saves having to turn the ignition back on again to wind the windows up.

      Cheers
      Dave

You're a legend - thanks for uploading all the detailed pics and information. Greatly appreciated as i'll be arranging for a ARB Bar to be installed in the next few and the GME unit you've got is the unit i was going to buy.

I'm sad to say that on our 2014 GXL our radio won't fit into the little hole any more - they have added/moved a floor vent air conditioning pipe so that it goes down under the carpet there making the gap too small for the radio to squeeze through :-(

Hi wasafi... I also have the OEM nudge bar (with Lightforce LED light bar mounted on it) and have been considering installing the aerial on the nudge bar just like you. It is a simpler & cleaner install but I have been worried about the range with the aerial mounted in this place. My local installer, Electric Bug says like many others that height of aerial is more important for effective range.

They showed me pictures of an install on a 150 where they have run the aerial cable up side of windscreen and along roof rail ( under the plastic cover in the roof rail channel) and on to the side of one of the roof rail mounts. Looks clean and only needs stubby aerial. They also have a work around if you put on a Rhino platform. I'm reluctant because I don't want to drill holes in the roof mount.

How have you found reception mounting on the nudge bar? Did you try any other aerials?

                      Re ariels

Depending on what you are going to use it for will depend on what type you get
eg stubby aerial usually only 2 db good for around town and very short range

If you are going to travel in the country on undulating surface ie hills etc a 6 db is best and these around a metre in length and will give around 30 plus kilometre range
If you are going out in the desert where its completely flat you could go to a 12db or higher These are much longer in length
Generally most go for the 6db

On the bull bar works fine
