Hi guys,
By the look of the photos Derek has supplied it appears that the deluxe bars do not have recovery points either side to attach bow shackles as other ARB bars used to have underneath or at least mine did on the 80 series. Is this right? I know there are cut outs for high lift jack lifting but it would be a bugger if there are no points to attach a shackle to.
Can anyone let me know please my bar shouldn't be too far away I hope.
thanks
Ron
The factory points are very strong and do not need to be replaced. (can't be replaced)

Good find Hutch...........I've been waiting to see what this would look like, and it looks real good !
I'm now wondering pricing :?:
Any idea on availability ? Does ARB pre paint to suit, or does dealer generally do this ?
Cheers
BenTas
Hi Ben
My bar is due to be fitted next week, it has taken 9 weeks from order date, but that was before the first bars were delivered. As for painting I was told that the bar was being painted at the state office in Qld and the store I placed the order at is fitting it. As far as I am able to find out it is up to the dealer as to who paints / powdercoats your bar. As I have mentioned before these are franchises so do your homework first. Pricing is around the $2400.00 fitted for a deluxe winch bar with foglights colour coded, about the same as TJM for a similar bar.
Regards, Richo.

ive got a VX, havent got a bar yet, how bad is the shodowing with the deluxe bar on the gxl?
i don't find it that bad at all. i would much prefer to have the bullbar than not.
im still trying to decide what bar to go with i think both arb bars look great. i just dont want to get the deluxe bar and get the shits with the shadowing

Honestly the shadowing isn't that bad. Yes it is there on the sides but only because I knew what it looked like before the bar went on. If you got it on predelivery you probably wouldn't even know. It only stops the light directly to the sides of the bar. Any light you loose directly in front it is going to be the same with the sahara bar as it is the same shape. I think I would rather keep the extra protection around the lights when going through a 4x4 track.
My thoughts anyway.

Just to save starting another thread, on Pennant Hills Rd at Thornleigh today at about 4.15pm I saw a white 150 series heading towards Parramatta with wait for it
A black 4 poster with the scrub bars down the side of the front gaurds.   I couldn't get the phone out of the cradle in time to take a pic. It was going in the opposite direction to me.
May of been a TUFF Bullbar from Toowoomba "tuffbullbars.com" . There are a lot of 120's and 200 series up here with them. I had one on my ML Triton, Im sure they would have one for the 150 or not far off.

From what I can see guys, you are talking about the ARB Deluxe bar. The ARB site has the Sahara as a bar with a completely different look. http://www.arb.com.au/products/arb-prot ... s/3921460/
Does anyone have experience with the bar in the above link?
Followed this guy the other day when I noticed his bullbar on his prado to get some info on it. He had fitted by local toyota dealer who also happen to be the ARB dealer here in Port hedland he was most unimpressed with how it was fitted. It was a neat fit to the front bumper/headlight on one side then the other side was like 20/30mm off the bumper looked very bad!!
How ever I was more interested in the colour being a graphite car which is what I have. I personally didnt like the look of the black bar,at the moment and leaning towards getting a colour coded silver one to go on graphite car. I think it will give the nice look of something like a polished aluminium bar without being so hard to maintain. Also it would give no problems with the colour coding issuse of it not matching.
My bar is now on, the fit is very consistant, so I guess it is just a matter of how good the fitter is and how much the dealer cares about quality. The guys at ARB Coopers Plains here in Brisbane have been very good with customer service so far, apart from the fact that I had to wait 10 weeks for the bar.
