    Hi Guys
Has anyone put a large double row LED light across the bull bar in the place where you would fit 2 round lights? I was aiming to put Nitro maxx 205 light bar? Does a light bar interfere with the radar etc etc. The round lights don't seem to.
If I cannot do this has anyone fitted a decent light bar to the front of the 2128mm backbone rhino rack. Photos would be great. Do you get any glare or refection off the bonnet etc

      Hey Roksy,
Had a chance to test the AR32's yet? Thoughts? Did you get spot, spread, or 1 each?

How about the radar cruise? Still no issues or anything out of the norm?

      Thanks mate,

        Hi Ant,

I haven’t had a chance to get out and use the AR32’s yet but hoping we can get away this weekend and go camping. Then I’ll have time to adjust and test them.

I went with one spread and one spot. I’ve done about 1,400 klms, pretty much all Bruce Highway between sunny coast and Brisbane and radar works perfectly fine.

Only issue has been the wiring harness for the front parking sensors was too short when they installed the ARB bull bar. So these have been turned off. This will be fixed when it goes back in June to get the Safari snorkel fitted.

Awesome. Thanks for the feedback Roksy. Sounds like the all clear for the big lights.
I've got my bar coming end of May, so hopefully they have the sensors sorted by that time

            Hey Dazz
What are your thoughts on the Narva's? They seem like pretty good value for performance.
            How's the spread and distance?

Just picked up the vehicle from a few days in the workshop, getting Bar fitted and other internal wiring done up.
Got some LF Genesis fitted to the bar and all works well - no interference with the adaptive cruise.
All the parking sensors work as per before. 2018 VX

The Genesis pack a huge punch with output. Makes the standard high beam look dull.

i went with the Genesis over the other similar sized lights due to the colour temp and and super low profile. No shaking or vibrating so far and the benefit to change the filters to suit the need (spot/wide/combo/colour). Rock solid so far

I just fitted a set of STEDI X 8.5. Very happy with them, they have a great spread and distance. Put the standard lights to shame. Just haven’t worked out how to trigger them off hi beam yet.

Hi Kygar assuming the lights came with a relay, it should be just a matter of picking up the high beam power line from the fuse box.

Yes, I agree. Just can't find a high beam fuse?
I found two under the bonnet. One does both LH lights H-LP LH-LO the other does both RH lights H-LP RH-LO. Then there is H-LP HI which does both RH lights again...

You could tap into the live line into the rear of the light itself, but I’d just be using a test light and sticking it into the suspected fuse (HL-P HI) when the high beam is on hopefully the test light lights up and ensure it turns off when back on low beam. it shouldnt matter whether it’s left or right as it’s just the switch for the relay

I managed to get a copy of the Toyota wiring harness information, also the ARB. Neither is as straight forward as it used to be on old models pre LED headlights. I tried to upload them but it seems the files are too big for my attachment allowance on Pradopoint - only 19.5KB.for some reason

Hi all about fitting light bars or spoties, have spoken to Toyota and had them print out the fitting of the Toyota branded harness, the price of the harness is $137, and the fitting is not easy, had been told due to the led setup you cannot jumper into the high beam the old way as you may damage the led modules, also if you have auto high beam you need to jumper into a wire under the drivers side loom and most of the wiring is completed behind the glovebox looking at the fitting guide is straight forward if you have some knowledge on wiring, most of the instructions are about were to run the wiring, I’ll try to upload the document, I had fitted my 23” light bar on top of the factory commercial bull bar works great and looks good, will upload some shots.

Just an update have received the harness, and not that hard to fit just a lot of pulling the glovebox and interior panels off to route the harness all comes setup ready to install all relays already hooked up and plugs into existing plugs in the Prado, can upload instructions and picks of harness if anyone is intrested.

Hi....Thanks for the info. I'm interested in putting a Stedi Light Bar on my Toyota Commercial Bar so I'd certainly be interested in any Instructions/ pics etc.
                                Cheers....Bob
