I have a Kaymar spacer it gives almost 2 inches extra.. almost to much I feel? Feels like it may flex a little to much on the door also..
not sure what size tire your going ? With a 265/70 most brands it doesn’t touch
I have falken wildpeak at3w and they are slightly wider and just touching and seems like it would touch the when going over bumps and corrugations that’s why I got the spacer

I have a second set of 265/70/17 Yoko GO15 AT 121S (extra load) and they touch so I fitted a 4mm spacer (nylon) for clearance. I was able to reuse the original mounting bolts.
I think it depends on the load rating as too whether they will rub or not as well as LT construction or not.
