ARB Safari snorkel sound

I got an ARB bullbar and Safari snorkel installed to my 2019 VX the other day. Besides from the massively improved looks I also noticed a sound from the snorkel when lifting my foot off the accelerator (so not when accelerating, idling or just keeping a steady RPM). I'm not sure quite how to describe it.. Anyway, should I expect anything other than the wind drag at high speed from a snorkel? My car is otherwise factory standard.

I assume it might just be induction noise, but thought that would sound a bit different.

Its the faint low bass sound of the turbulent flow of air as its being sucked down a big plastic pipe by the turbo.
I have the same kit on my 150.

Hi randog78. I'm considering an ARB snorkel. Roughly how loud a sound are we talking about (i.e. is it distracting)?

It is fairly noticeable compared to my friends 1kd hilux. This is only when the windows are open though. Im not sure if it is due to the larger volume of the snorkel although I wouldnt say its distracting or annoying. (Matter of opinion)

Not a great deal, it was more that faint "slurping" sound I noticed and wondered about. Now that I know what it is I don't think about it at all. Once you go beyond 80-90 km/h you can hear the wind drag, but I've got a roof rack as well and there's a lot more noise from that.
