I need a towbar on my 2019 VX because I'm planning on getting a camper trailer soon. Is there any reason why I should look for aftermarket ones, and not just getting Toyota to fit one at the next service? Any advice on what to get appreciated.

Hey randog,
I'm not sure where you are but these from Wynnum Towbar Centre, 2 Burke St Wynnum, are about $700 fitted from memory
Phone: 07 3893 0411
I'm not affiliated in any way, just a happy customer.
We now offer CLASS 4 heavy duty towbars specifically designed for the NEW TOYOTA PRADO 150 Series. Rated at 2500 kg there is no cutting of the bumper required, unlike the standard Toyota towbars which require a section of the bumper to be cut out. This leaves your vehicle intact should you wish to remove the tow point at a later date.

I had the toyota towbar fitted but had to change the standard flat 7 pin to large round 7 pin to suit my requirements.
