Adding front parking sensors to ARB Summit Bullbar

Hi All, I am in the middle of planning some options for my soon to arrive 2022 GXL. I have chosen the ARB Summit bar and plan on adding front parking sensors at some point. My question is: - Is it hard to add the sensors after the bull bar is fitted or is it only possible to add them during the original installation of the bullbar. Thanks in advance!

You would want them done at same time as installation, order the bar to take sensors. Otherwise you will be drilling it and then need repainting etc.

Thanks Piggy - I understood the SUmmit bar cam pre-drilled and if you didn't use the Sensors then there were plugs to fill the holes? I was planning on just pulling those out when I installed the parking sensors.

I assume from your comment that there are actually two different bars ...

I have the Summit bar on my GXL. It has the mounting holes for the front parking sensors.
As Piggy says tho', get it all done up front.
Ask your Dealer how much work is involved in retro fitting the sensors. They might need to re-configure the ECU to recognise them.
Also, you might need to ask ARB if they need any special extension harnesses. The Summit BB sits out front a ways.

Thanks RPP - I was considering an aftermarket setup - but good point - I should talk to the dealer about genuine. I did see from some posts here that the Parking Sensors fitted by Toyota in the GXl seemed an aftermarket setup - maybe it has changed?

From memory the front sensors vary in size depending whether they are factory fitted or dealer fitted, as such you will need to advise ARB which sensors you will be getting fitted so the bar is drilled correctly.

Thanks Lee. The bar I am getting is pre-drilled as standard. Guessing I will be left choosing sensors based on that size. They are blanked out by defaul.
