Which Phones do you have that work with blue tooth?

I accidentally came across this when I was pairing an ipad just for sound and a phone. If you're getting the from car or from phone messages, you're in the 'BTA setup' menu, not the 'Phone Setup' menu. If you select your phone from the 'Phone Setup' menu, you should have no problems and it won't ask about the from car or from phone bit.

I figured out what I was doing wrong- I didn't realise I had to press the steering wheel controls to initiate pairing, I was pairing only from pressing the stereo aux/USB button. (If any of that made sense)

So for anyone else that might get into this predicament;
I deleted the phone from the system
Then pressed the hang up button on steering wheel
Pressed in tune knob to initiate pairing
Named the device
Used tune knob (rotate) to select 'phone int' *default setting is 'phone'
Pressed in tune knob to select 'phone int' setting
VIOLA ! Bluetooth music and phone services.

We run our iPhone 4S and 5 with bt perfectly but use the USB port at the same time for music, keeps them charged up and can use the steering controls and random function on the radio screen.

Can you confirm if the GXL Prado will enable an iPhone 5 to connect, charge & have audio being controlled through USB?

I find it annoying that if I pair my iPhone 4S with 'int audio' the Bluetooth works but its ALL AUDIO from the phone, ie email, SMS notifications try to go to the prados radio, but don't play because presumably the soud is too short. Music plays via BT well. I would love if only music and the telephone went through the BT audio.

I have my Blackberry and the wife's iPhone 4s connected to our GXL and the Blackberry connected to the work GX. Bit of a pain to swap between phones but otherwise never had any dramas

I went into the local dealers and they let me pair my phone and make sure the baby seat fits.

I couldn't work out the media streaming then and there but once I get my car I'll have a play and try sort it. Might even read the owners manual. 8)

Connected Samsung S2 rooted and HTC Velocity 4G no issues. Though, I use HTC a lot more than S2.

I have a Samsung C5220 that won't pair with my 2010 Prado GXL. It sees the car and asks for the pin but fails connection. Anyone had a similar experience with one of these phones?

I have a 2014 GXL and an iPhone 5c. I have paired the iphone to the GXL Bluetooth. I can make and receive phone calls fine. My contacts have synced as well. But I can not get messages to setup and nor can I get any sounds when I receive emails or other notifications. Anyone have any tips please?
