Location of ARB compressor on Deisel 150

Folks, I acknowledge a post on installing an ARB compressor in a petrol 150 but has anyone done it in a deisel? Be very interested to see the location and fitting instructions. By my reckoning room is at a premium

gday im in same boat as daughter just bought me the ARB compressor and now to fit it tmorrow, was thinking passenger side rear of engine bay but will have a better look in morning

ok had a chance to get a good look under bonnet spaces and well there aint much room, will have to i think get a bracket made up to provide a flat platform to mount it but will wait and see where arb fit william's

Ive got mine mounted in the passager side rear under bonnet I have it mounted on rubber mounts and they have some flex as the top of the guard is not a flat surface.

Does ARB make a similar battery tray for the 150 as they do for the 120?
If so, possible mounting platform...

hey William many thanks for that looks great, but i went to a freind and he made a stainless steel platform using existing holes for me one question tho, in the directions for hooking up stuff on the compressor it shows the cutoff relay goes directly on the compressor housing but your photos show a T piece nthen the air hose connection, would i need to do that as at this stage i dont have diff lockers and just connect the air hose fitting direct to where you have the diff lock connected, many thanks for assistance

I believe (if i remember correctly) the T piece comes as part of the hose kit and not as part of the compressor. The parts supplied with the compressor are for an air locker setup only (not inclusive of any air locker parts), and the T piece gets added into the system along with the hose connector when the compressor is to be used for supply air as well as lockers (regardless of whether the lockers are fitted at the time or not. The method william has used is correct - that is the T piece is used to connect both HP cut-out switch and hose connection to the same section of the compressor (as per instructions supplied), and the grub screws in the built in air reservior are ports for front and rear air lockers only - the hose connection wont fit into these anyway.

If you follow what william has done, then you shouldn't have any issues! Hope that helps some...

You're welcome gympiebrowns. Whilst won't take any credit for installing the compressor and locker (workshop did the work for me). Logically, the placement of the wires and tubing makes perfect sense. As Matty has stated, the block on the left would only be used if you were to install a locker and the cabling and hosing going to it is to control the air from the reservoir to the locker. A separate set of cables are run for the power and switch. Hope this helps.
