  • One question I have which would be the same with the Kakadu models, is that the ZR has the headlight washers on the bumper. Looking at the TJM bar, it appears that you lose these, whereas the ARB bar retains them because the bumper is cut below them. Can any Kakadu or ZR owners provide an answer regarding this?

    • I can confirm that TJM have an optional kit so you retain the headlight washers.

      • Thanks Rob, Thought the quote for the T15 was a bit steep, but hadn't found any indicative quotes for that type of bar. They were quoting $2028 for the steel T3 Black bar fitted, but I prefer the alloy look with the white car. I think there are only 2 TJM dealers in Adelaide so will need to try the other one.
So your view is I should be able to get one fitted for around $2k?

        • I can't believe TJM charge so much for something thats made in china.

          • When there is only 2 shops of one brand in town why would you discount, a couple of friendly beers at a neutral pub should resolve the prices, in the old days before the ACCC this happened all the time.

See ya on the tracks, Richo.

Doesn't matter where it is made if that's the market price then so be it.

I should probably rephrase what I said; I can't believe people pay so much for a bull bar made in china.

                  • I have a white 150 with a black TJM T13 bar (standard black paint job from the supplier) and black plastic inserts. Looks good to me.

I wipe the inserts every few months with CRC Liquid Armour (supposed to be better than Armorall, though not easy to find in shops) to keep off road grime, and it keeps them shiny as well.

To me, the inserts look as though they are made of a plastic that does not allow paint to stick to it for any length of time, so a base needs to be applied to the plastic to allow the paint to stick. Some of the fitters just slop the paint on without proper preparation.

                    Yowie.

                    • I have had my colour coded TJM T13 bar for 7 months and have no issues with the paintwork on the plastic infills.

                        T15 Polished Alloy - 150 Series $2258

                        Hi Roger,

That's pretty much what they are going for, in polished alloy. They are dearer than steel.
I was told by the dealer, that there are a couple of extra hours spent in polishing to high finish, so extra $s.
Seems a shame to pay for that polishing then paint over it though, however I can see why you do that to the eyebrows (anti-glare?)

FWIW, I went with the aussie built ECB, in hammertone silver - I'm too lazy to keep the polish up to the bull bar - had one of those years ago and found it a real pita!

Each to his own as they say.

Good luck with your choice Roger.

Agree with Hutch go see the guys at TJM Brendale, I've had a T13 Steel TJM Bar on mine for 6 months and am very happy with it. And it looks much better suited to the 150's lines than the ARB bar.

                              • Hi all,
I'm going to get the T13, my Prado is Silver and my only question is, for those of you that have gone with the T13, is getting it colour coded as durable as just having the bar powder coated in black in regards to paint chips etc??

Any words of wisdom would be appreciated

                                Regards
