As I am still trying to decide between the ARB Deluxe Bar and the TJM T13 bar but can't make up my mind on which one, I thought I would send out question.
Has anyone, especially those with the TJM bar considered the amount of air the bar allows through for cooling of the radiator, inter cooler and air con? It seems to from the pictures that the ARB might allow more air to pass through (bigger gaps in bar plus two large slots for a high lift jack).

I don't know if this could be an issue or not, but with summers days above 40c the more cooling the better I think.

So what does every one else think, should I be concerned or just get the best deal?

ARB BAR vs TJM BAR

Hey there gecko. I got the tjm and honestly I can't see airflow as a problem, there is plenty of holes, plus two big holes either side of the number plate that I can easily put my arm through, even with the spots the temp gauge doesn't move past normal on 40deg plus days...

I was torn last week which one, both the tjm and ARB are good looking bars, hell of a lot better looking than one without

In the end i got the ARB deluxe winch bar for such a good price i didn't look any further, ordered it in silver, will be part of my build thread

Does anyone know if aftermarket LED indicator lights will fit in the ARB bars? Thats what i really like about the ECB bars.

You can get LED replacement bulbs, Prime Electronics do them.

By the way can anyone with a TJM Bar tell me how far in front of the grill it sits? i.e. how wide from front of the Bar to the grille on the flat section where the driving lights go.I am trying to work out how much longer the car will be overall due to limited parking space.

I have measured the ARB Bar and to my surprise it sits about 30cm in front of the grille which does increase the overall length or the car quite a bit.

I got a quote from TJM Perth and i'm gonna go ahead with it, went to several ARB joints and couldn't get any deals outa them at all...except the osbourne park mob which gave me about 8% off a $5500 package..

Then went to TJM after reading this thread to get a price on some things and after spending 30 mins in there decided to go ahead with it.
Prado 150 series Fog & sensors T13 (inc fitting) $1800inc
Paint/Powdercoating $330inc
Snorkel $600inc
Maxtrax recovery aid $290inc
icom-440 UHF (including install) $450inc
Antenna 6.6db (including install) $131inc
220MM XRAY Vision HID Lights (Pair Fitted) $709inc
The guy threw in an air compressor for free too..

Only guy that was willing to do something so had no hesitation and he was a top bloke too.

all the prices look good

i was in there last saturday to have a look at the bar etc , will be putting these items on hold for a bit as new baby due in 2 weeks , but asked for a price on towbar , Hayman reese and have booked in $690 installed

I struck a deal with Steve. Didn't quite get as good a price, but I got the sump guard included and as I was not buying any thing else got what I believe is there best price. I am happy and it should be fitted in two weeks. Just in time before the big trip across the country.

Here's some photos of my TJM bar and lights that I had installed a couple of Fridays ago. Once upon a time I was thinking of a white bar, probably an ARB bar as I had not seen a white TJM bar, but now that this is on the car I am very happy with it. The combo lens on the LHS XGT works a treat projecting a good spread of light. You'll notice that my bar is one of the 'bumper cut' bars - refer to my earlier post in this section.

Thanks for posting those pics up mate. That TJM bar looks awesome much better than the bland old ARB bar. You have convinced me I'll order mine tomorrow.
