Do you think it's worth going to the dealer with this, or should i just go buy some dynamat and do it myself?

Not sure, its a simple job that Toyota should do, but then there's the hassle of getting them to do it properly. Sounds like at least one person got the dealer to do it.

it may be that there is a TSB for this fix now. I've asked for the number and am chasing my dealer about it as well.

I did some heavy corrugations up north recently and all that happened was my bash plate came loose. The rattle stayed the same.
