Scott,
Those part numbers will give you everything to do BOTH sides.
I thought I was only ordering a patch kit for the LHS but ended up with the apron and bolts nuts etc for the RHS if ever it cracks.

2010 vX
Hi all,
Just purchased a 2010 VX and although I checked for cracks, knowing the issue and I missed it!!! It help to have the bonnet open when checking as I looked yesterday and spotted a crack on passenger side. I'd like to order the parts but just want to double check they are correct for my car.
The crack is on the inside of wheel arch, and visible under main fuse box inside engine bay, only on passenger side.
1) Have you guys put the brace on both sides of car, and do you need to brace internal and external, or can you just do outside?
2) These are the parts listed in other threads, and they look to be the inner and outer patch for Front Right (drivers side??).
3) Can anyone provide the part numbers for Passenger side patch kits?
4) Does anyone have a link to the parts diagram?

I have made a list of vehicles that have cracked inner guards
DOM ENG MODEL CRACK KMS AUX BAT BULL BAR SUSPENSION
.12/09 D4D GXL driver 75,000 yes TJM yes
.10/10 D4D GXL driver 48,000 yes ARB yes
.5/10 D4D GX pass 78,000 yes ARB
.12/09 D4D VX both 60,000 yes ARB yes
.11/10 GXL pass 58,000 yes no no
.3/11 GX pass 80,000 yes no no
./11 D4D GLX both 55,000 yes yes
./10 D4D GX pass 151,000 yes ARB yes
.12/12 D4D GXL pass 56,000 yes ARB no
.11/11 D4D GXL pass 70,000 yes TJM yes
./10 D4D GXL driver yes TJM yes
.11/10 D4D GXL pass 75,000 ARB
,12/09 D4D GX both 150,000 yes ARB yes
from the list you will see that:
All are diesels
Mainly GX and GLX
More cracks on passenger side than driver side
Most cracked in the 50 to 100k mark
Only 2 did not have bull bars, the same 2 also did not have suspension upgrades
Only 3 did not have suspension upgrades
More ARB bars than TJM bars
Blank spaces no info supplied
My observations are that the crack does not start at an edge, it starts in the middle of the panel. The panel is flexed and metal fatigue starts in the middle of the panel and then extends down to the edge of the inner guard and also upwards.
There are couple of pics from other posters on PP showing the metal fatigue creasing the guard and then the crack forming.

I had both guards done. Patch is fitted underneath the guard, after cleaning the guard, and bolted in to place. The patch run about 25cm either side of the crack and the crack is then welded. My patch plates are almost impossible to spot unless you know what you are looking for as they have been re-coated with the protective coating.
Toyota have kept this pretty quiet as the patch kit is an admission of a problem which could be used against them.

If it's like the 120 patches then there is one curved patch that goes under the inner fender above the coil. It ties in and re-enforces the edge of the inner fender where it typically cracks. The second patch is a long angled piece that goes towards the cabin end of the inner fender frame towards the top edge. This piece re-enforces the top and side of the inner fender and prevents it drooping.

Now been to Toyota, first response looking into it, mine is first to be seen at that dealer.
I got the impression from info on this forum that the patch kit was a plate fitted either side of the inner guard and bolted together through the guard.
So could some one who has had it fitted enlighten me as to what the patch really is and where is it fitted.
Thanks

Just a heads up. I have been trying to buy the patch (5373160100) from Amayama for several months. it always seems to be out of stock and no ETA is given, other than to suggest to try again in another month.
I have managed to get all the other parts from them, just not the main part!
FYI Amayama want $76.00AUD for this part, Toyota Australia $149.00.

I just googled this image, just as an example, so you get the idea, and I know it shows a battery on the driver's side, but you can see the metal brace, linking the battery hold down post at one end, and bolting to an existing hole in the upper, front, engine bay cross member at the other end...its all about bracing the battery to stop a rocking motion as you drive over rough country.
I guess you could make something up yourself, or there are some propriety battery trays that have this brace.
Krypto is correct in saying that there is a part from toyota to reinforce the guard. Simply welding the crack even with a small patch didn't work for me, it just cracked again adjacent to the patch. I would be inclined to ensure the battery is well braced, with a connection to the front upper engine bay cross member, (like in the image) ..and also install the guard overlay patch.
Its a shame, seems to be a weak point in the Prado, and I understand that in the new model this has been reinforced....I hope so.
