ARB recovery points

Are people looking at one or two of the ARB recovery points, reading some of the posts, it looks like just one is the go ?

Having only one prevents the use of a bridle for a center pull recovery.

Good point.

I don't like using snatch straps for recoveries (due to the kinetic friction involved), I have a winch, so prefer to use that, so am thinking of one recovery point so if I need to use a snatch block to reduce the winch load, I can then attach my winch rope back to my one recovery point on my vehicle.
Doing a recovery that way, I guess it doesn't matter which side of the vehicle the recovery point is.

A bridle is only required to spread the load across unrated/tested points and you should only use a bridle on straight pulls anyway. The ARB points are load tested to 8000Kg and therefore don't require a bridle.

Confirmed today at ARB, each point is designed to handle the full load of a snatch recovery, so only a single point needed although having 2 gives you options for directional pulls with a winch. They did mention that the big 200 needs 2 though.
