I was having a look at a set of hilux ones the other day, I was told the prado ones will be similar in design/construction, but obviously specifically to fit a prado.

                  • Hi all
I read through all the posts on this topic and couldn't find a more recent reply to Ages question about fitting the OI recovery points to a TJM bar (other than mention of them being drilled to suit both ARB and TJM bars). Has anyone fitted these to a TJM T13 steel bar, and if so, any pics?

                    tks

We have found that with the steel bar that the standard Outback Ideas recovery points cannot be fitted as the protection plates from the bull bar mount to the same points. So the OI guys are working on a modified one to suit as we speak

                    • Hi guys,

For the past 6 weeks I have been waiting for the delivery of my front recovery points that I ordered from my UV4X4 shop here in Ipswich Qld.

Today they called me to notify me that they could not supply as their supplier was not manufacturing these anymore as he was "apparently" going broke. The guys at the UV4X4 shop mentioned that their supplier was Outback Ideas. They also mentioned that they have been chasing him for weeks about the supply of the recovery points, and he finally came back and said he was not supplying.
UV4X4 are also agents for ARB and they also do not have a rated front recovery point for the 150 series.

So my question is, Who the hell makes front recovery points for the 150 and where can I get some from???

Im told that the ARB ones are some time away.

Also what are the guys with 150's using that are going to the GTG 2012? As from what I'm lead to believe you cant attend without rated recovery points!

                      Cheers,

                      Jeff

                            • Just wondering if anyone has used these front recovery points by Everything 4x4. Apparently they are australian load tested and stamped with a WLL of 5t. They look a lot like the OI points.

I have sent the supplier an email to see if they work with an ARB bar fitted.

                              • RWO,

I was just looking at the same thing just now, looks promising as seem to be rate???
But the recovery point is rated in itself, but what about how/when it is attached to the vehicle?
