I went to my dealer today who initially suggested that he had no idea what I was talking about. When I mentioned that, having read this thread, it seemed Toyota has recognised the problem he quite quickly said that he's not sure that he has any new longer mud guards in stock but would find out and call me back. He finished by saying that the replacement would be done at the service centre at the expense of Toyota as it is an "identified problem". Quite clearly they are trying not to advertise their responsibility!

Guys,
Sorry if this question has been asked before. Will Toyota replace the mudflaps with the new design even if you don't have any stonechips etc on the body ? If so what is the process ?

When I asked for mine I was told NO, as my vehicle was not damaged.
My reply "that can be arranged & the repairs to the damage will also be done at Toyota's expense".
Mine are on order Ex Japan.

we had the mudflaps replaced by a dealer in perth recently , as have been waiting for them to come in for a couple of months , the wife took it to get done and when she got home i can not really tell the difference , the front looks longer , but the rear , not sure , has any one got a picture or measurements of the new flaps installed , mine hang down from the car rear 80mm and the front 100mm , if i am near a toyota dealer today i will call in to see a 2011 150 if they have them installed

I had my mudflaps replaced a few weeks ago before a trip away. Now water drips along the rear mudflap whenever the rear aircon is running, they must have moved/left off a drainage pipe.
Nearly had a heart attack when I first saw it as we were a long way from anywhere and I thought it might be a fuel leak.Steve

I thought 80mm rear sounded short. You would have thought whoever changed them may have noticed the new ones were the same length as the ones coming off.2010 Kakadu with all the usual stuff.... Build up thread below
