  • Brakes make a clunck after stopping

Hi I have a 150 and After stopping they make a clucking noise and then feel like they release. Toyota have said it is actually something to do with the tail shaft and just needs greasing. It did stop after the service but is back again. Has anyone else experienced the same thing.

    Hi Larry,

You may be able to make your own conclusion on whether it's the brakes or tail shaft by reading this. Twenty eight screens for your viewing pleasure.

My tail shaft has emitted a loud crack on takeoff before from a standing start. A grease at service time cured mine for now– although - as you would expect there’s a pile of opinions the further you read. That's the benefit of Pradopoint, you're guaranteed to get a result.

No sorry Larry, can't say that I have noticed that in mine.

Definitely the tail shaft issue. Mine had it too but a re-grease seems to fix it. The re-grease is one of the service items I'm told so should be re-done every service. Mine had come back slightly just prior to my last service but is gone again after the service.
