Thanks for the reply guys. I know rogerthatv2 and Jeffers and with a lot of other feedback from our interstate PPers I will take it up with Toyota and NO is not an acceptable response. What a great discussion thread.

Is that Oldmac or Southside George? I had to almost fight with them just to do the service right (as in change the oil and filter correctly!) but since going to Motorama, massive difference.

Ours is a Jan 2013 build and has had the clunk since day 1. Does this mean that the "replacement" tailshaft that some have had fitted is different to the tail shaft still being fitted on the production line?

When I had the replacement shaft fitted to the 120 the service guy said the 'special' shaft was made of unobtainium and rocking horse shit and was heinously expensive so Toyota only fitted it to vehicles with a problem. Read an owner who wouldn't put up with the clunk and complained a lot. My 150 has about 5,000 km on it now and still ok but I expect the problem to develop as the splines wear.
I might check out ToyoDIY and see if the same part number has been carried forward.
